Sin Cara vs Dark Sin Cara?

Sin Cara debuted earlier this year with an undeniable amount of hype. Some would say that Sin Cara, then performed by Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde (formerly Mistico in Mexico), was extremely over hyped.  The internet voices complained that he had failed to deliver and only succeeded in supplying Botchamania with a limitless highlight reel. Others would argue that Sin Cara had fallen prey to the "10%ers" love of "hating just to hate," and that they were simply over analyzing his every move.

Alvirde's troubles continued as he failed WWE's Wellness Policy by testing positive for a form of steroid. After much debate, negotiation and speculation, he grudgingly began to serve his 30 day suspension the night after the Money in the Bank PPV. He worked an "injury" angle by taking a Super Power Bomb from Sheamus to an outside ladder.

A few weeks later, word surfaced on the net that Sin Cara would be returning early. The catch to this early return, was that Alvirde would not be wearing the mask. Hunico, a luchador under a developmental contract at FCW, would be suiting up to play Sin Cara. Hunico seemed to debut with more of an expectation to exceed Alvirde's performance and to eventually replace the performer all together.

Alvirde returned from his suspension and returned to the Sin Cara character. Alvirde only performed at a few house shows before he was scheduled to return to the first Smackdown taping. Word broke that his return match at Smackdown was refilmed three times due to botched moves. The first was a refilmed ending until they decided to scrap everything and refilm the entire match. As more news leaked to the internet, rumors circulated that Alvirde was sent home due to his poor performance. More news continued to surface that finally confirmed that Alvirde had been sent home before the conclusion of Smackdown tapings and that Hunico had performed in all three recordings of the match. It was believed at this point that Alvirde was indeed finished with the WWE.

This past week saw the first live Smackdown on the SYFY network. Sin Cara, performed by Hunico, had a fantastic match against the always entertaining Daniel Bryan. The match ended with a surprise, "Heel" attack on Bryan. Internet speculation quickly began as to what this could mean.

One theory is that Hunico will be playing Sin Cara moving forward and this Heel turn will allow him to make the Sin Cara character "his own." As to where more rumors suggest that WWE creative is planning for a Sin Cara vs Sin Cara match in the near future. This is an extremely exciting possibility. With Rey Mysterio currently out due to reconstructive knee surgery, the WrestleMania 28 plans of setting the most masked wrestlers in one arena may be scrapped. This may be the solution.

The coming week will tell what is going to happen.  Overall, what was once viewed as a HUGE waste could become one of the best "imposter" feuds of all-time.

Tweez Family makes a tough decision.

Tweez Family recently suffered injuries to two of their largest team members, Big Show and Kane.  The end of the SummerSlam PPV has allowed Tweez Family to replace their injured Superstars.  Making the tough decision to retain Big Show, they've decided the Big Red Machine, Kane.  In an odd twist of irony, Tweez Family has selected the very man that put Big Show and Kane "on the shelf."

MARK HENRY... Welcome to Tweez Family.
Henry has left a huge path of destruction every where he goes including his recent battle royal victory that earned him a shot at Randy Orton's World Heavy Weight Championship.  This is without question a wise decision of Tweez Family's part.  MOFW recently posted that Henry was the Most Valuable Free Agent.  When asked about their injury replacement, Tweez Family had this to say:

"After watching Team Minor Threat and Team Destiny pass on Mark Henry and my lead drop so fast it was a no brainier to pick him up. If Mark Henry was pick up earlier (last 2 ppv) he would have got someone 160 and the race for #1 I'm sure I would not be where I'm at to say the least."

The CHAMPS are here?!

It appears that there are now TWO, WWE Champions.  Last night's Raw saw John Cena capture the WWE Championship for the ninth time.  His victory celebration was cut short by the return of CM Punk.  Punk casually walked to the ring to the tune of Cult of Personality, his old ROH entrance music.  He was wearing the WWE Championship that he won eight days prior at the Money in the Bank ppv.  The tension continued to the build as he stood proudly in front of the New WWE Champion, John Cena.

It does not take a genius to figure out that this is going to lead to a HUGE match at SummerSlam.  The question is, WHO will leave SummerSlam as the TRUE WWE Champion?
