It is important to point out that the MOFW draft took place on April 27th, 2011. Just a 1 day after the completed WWE Draft and roughly 4 days before the WWE Extreme Rules PPV. At the time, The MIZ was on a 160 day reign as WWE Champion.
There was a lot of surprise over The MIZ being picked 6th in our draft. Was it a smart move to overlook, at that time, the WWE Champ? Only time will tell.
